English: *One of the many ruined historic temples in the Gadag-Lakkundi region. It is dedicated to Shiva.
  • The Kumbareshwar temple is in the eastern part of a small Lakkundi village-town, about 12 kilometers southeast of Gadag-Betageri twin city. It can be reached by India's National Highway 67.
  • The temple had three shrines with shared mandapa and a ranga mandapa (open gathering hall). It can entered from all four directions. The above image is of the side of one ruined shrine. The entire temple is surrounded by homes of villagers.
  • This is the ASI monument number N-KA-D246.
