English: Buddhist alms in Don Det (Si Phan Don, Laos). Every day, early morning child monks from the temple walk in the village with their alms bowls to collect food, prepared and offered by the locals, and to recite a short prayer in exchange. Ritually, Buddhist monks in Laos have only two meals a day: one in the morning and one at noon. They fast in the evening.
Français : Aumône bouddhiste à Don Det (Si Phan Don, Laos). Chaque jour, tôt le matin, des enfants moines du temple sillonnent le village avec leurs bols d'aumône pour recueillir de la nourriture, préparée et offerte par les habitants, et pour réciter une courte prière en échange. Rituellement, les moines bouddhistes au Laos ne consomment que deux repas par jour : un le matin et un le midi. Ils jeûnent le soir.
