Deutsch: Nordansicht bzw. Hauptfassade der ehemaligen Kloster- und Pfarrkirche Maria vom Berge Karmel (Karmeliterkirche) am Stefan-Fadinger-Platz 1 im 10. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Favoriten.
Die Kirche wurde ab 1928 anstelle einer abgebrannten Notkirche nach Plänen von Hans Prutscher errichtet und erst 1942 vollendet. Sie war nach Plecniks wegweisender Pfarrkirche auf der Schmelz (1911) die zweite „Betonkirche“ in Wien. Am 21. Februar 1945 wurde sie durch Fliegerbomben weitgehend zerstört (mit 140 Todesopfern). Nach Kriegsende erfolgte der Wiederaufbau, so dass nach der Wiederherstellung von Kuppel und Dach (1950) die Unterkirche 1951 geweiht werden konnte. Die ab 1957 begonnene Wiederherstellung der Oberkirche und der Bau des Turmes erfolgte stark verändert nach Plänen von Helene Koller-Buchwieser und mit der Glockenweihe am 15.Mai 1966 wurde der Wiederaufbau abgeschlossen. Mit Jahresende 2014 erfolgte die Übergabe des Gotteshauses mit Klostergebäude und Garten mangels Gläubiger, Priestermangel und Kostenreduktion, etc. an die aufstrebende syrisch-orthodoxe Metropolie.
