English: Old map featuring Kashmir published by the Survey of India prior to 1947 pertaining to the period of the commencement of the Constitution of India around 1950. The map inter alia does not depict the northern border of Kashmir but only displays the legend “Frontier Undefined” , since the border with East Turkistan running on the Kuen Lun range had not been demarcated. Pertinently the legend “Frontier Undefined” is displayed well to the north of the Raskam river in Kashmir near the Kukalang pass on the Kuen Lun range in northern Kashmir and not on the Khunjerab pass.
