The plates provide the history of Parthasarathi temple, also spelled Parthasarathy temple, how land was acquired over time voluntarily, the temples consecration with a Vedic school (salai) for 95 students to be managed at the temple, how the students would be screened before admission, how they will board, fed and be supported by the school, the rules of conduct for the students and other matters.
The temple is found about midway between Kanyakumari and Thiruvanathapuram.
