Machavaram is a village in Palnadu district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarters of Machavaram mandal in Gurazala revenue division.[4][5]

As per Gazettee No. 939 of 26 January 2022, the old Guntur District, formed in 1904, was split into three districts ā Guntur, Palnadu and Bapatla.[6]

Machavaram is situated at 16Ā°36ā²00ā³N 79Ā°44ā²00ā³Eļ»æ / ļ»æ16.6Ā°N 79.7333Ā°E. It is spread over an area of 1,416 ha (3,500 acres).[2]
Governance[edit | edit source]
Machavaram gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[1] It is divided into wards and each ward is represented by a ward member.[7]
Education[edit | edit source]
As per the school information report for the academic year 2018ā19, the village has a total of 10 schools. These include 3 private and 7 Zilla Parishad/MPP schools.[8]
