Malik (Kashmiri: मलिक (Devanagari), ملك/ملک (Nastaleeq)) is a title used by the people of Arab decent who are living in Kashmir and also related to Awan tribe, Alwi and Qutub Shahi and actually they were called Awan but later Malik was prominently used instead of Awan in India and Pakistan.[1]
